[SOLVED] Perl: How to replace umlauts with regex

You have a string with umauts you want to replace

$strNewXml = "ÜBERSICHTSKARTE MIT HIGHLIGHTS";

To replace "Ü" use \xdc where "dc" is a Hex value of the "Ü" character from this table

http://www.pjb.com.au/comp/diacritics.html

$strNewXml =~ s/\xdcBERSICHTSKARTE MIT HIGHLIGHTS//g;
